This captivating series aims to capture natural, youthful beauty and innocence amidst the serene embrace of nature. Set in a summer field abundant with daisies, the concept emphasizes purity, grace, and the timeless charm of a beautiful young girl.
The idyllic Ludwell Valley in Exeter provided the perfect natural backdrop for this shoot. Its sprawling fields and gentle atmosphere perfectly complemented the desired mood of innocence and natural beauty.
We use a Canon R6 paired with a selection of Canon 1.2 - 1.8 L lenses from 22mm through to 200mm. This professional-grade equipment allowed us to achieve exceptional sharpness and create the soft, creamy bokeh essential for achieving the desired dreamy aesthetic.
This captivating portrait series masterfully employs compositional techniques to evoke a sense of simplicity and natural beauty, resulting in truly enchanting and timeless images. In shots like the girl sitting amidst daisies, the rule of thirds is effectively used to position her off-center, creating a balanced and engaging composition. The surrounding daisies, rendered with a soft focus from a wide aperture, naturally frame her expressive face and draw the viewer's eye.
Wider perspectives, such as the girl standing in the daisy field, showcase the expansive environment while maintaining focus on the subject. Here, the leading lines of the flowers guide the gaze, and subtle diagonal elements in her stance add a gentle dynamism to the tranquil scene. Contemplative profile shots strategically use natural elements to frame the subject, with her averted gaze adding an air of innocence and inviting imaginative engagement from the viewer.

Every shot in this series was taken with the exquisite natural light of golden hour. This specific time of day provides a soft, warm, and diffused light that is incredibly flattering. The golden tones beautifully illuminate the subject's skin and hair, creating a luminous, dreamy quality that perfectly captures the concept of natural beauty and innocence. Our approach centered on capturing the pure essence of natural beauty through thoughtful framing and perspective. We utilized various angles to highlight the Amber's features and her gentle interaction with the environment.
